Some abducted people free in Nigeria but girls still missing

Earlier, the police had said that 317 girls have been abducted from a boarding school in Northern Nigeria.
So far nothing has been known about these girls. Here in Jamfara state, the gunmen attacked the school and kidnapped them. A common citizen had also told that before the attack on the school, the gunmen also attacked the nearby military camp and checkpoint. So that the soldiers cannot stop this mass abduction that is going to take place on a large scale. Among the girls abducted are small girls between 10 and 13 years old. The gunmen who kidnap them often commit such incidents for money.
Hundreds of boys were kidnapped
The gunmen kidnap people and ask for a ransom in return. About a week ago, the boys’ boarding school was attacked and hundreds of boys were kidnapped. Along with this, a student was shot and killed by gunmen. On Friday, President Muhammadu Buhari said that the first objective of the government is to bring back all the people abducted from school safely, alive and without any injury. The President said, “We are not going to succumb to the threats of these bandits and criminals, who target innocent students studying in school for more ransom.”
Many kidnapped girls still missing
The President said, “Do not let these bandits in Nigeria, kidnappers and terrorists be under the illusion that they are more powerful than the government.” Such incidents have increased rapidly in the last few years in Nigeria. Earlier, in 2014, 276 girls were kidnapped by the jihadist organization Boko Haram from a secondary school located in Chibok (Nigeria Chibok Abductions) of Borno State. Of these, more than 100 girls are still missing. At the same time, in December, 344 students were kidnapped from Government Science Secondary School in Kankara, Katsina State. However, all of them were later released.
Bandits say people
Criminal groups in Northwest and Central Nigeria carry out such incidents on the day. These groups are locally called ‘Bandits’. Who kidnap for ransom and rape and loot the whole area. It is said that these people carry out such incidents for money and they have no ideological leanings. But security officials believe that they have the support of the Jihadists of northwestern Nigeria, where the military has been battling a decade-long Islamic insurgency.
