Profit booking continued to dominate the market for the fifth consecutive day, due to which the market closed in red. The Sensex has lost 1145 points, or 2.25 per cent, to close at 49,744.32. At the same time, the Nifty has lost 306 points, or 2.04 per cent, to close at 14,675.70. FEAR INDEX INDIA VIX has closed up over 14%. Small-medium stocks also saw pressure today. The BSE midcap index closed 1.34 percent down and the smallcap index 1.01 percent.
In today’s trade, 40 out of 50 stocks of Nifty have closed down, while 28 out of 30 stocks of Sensex have slipped and 10 out of 12 stocks of Nifty Bank dominated.
Cessanx is operating at 50,026.80 level, losing 862 points. At the same time, the Nifty has lost 242 points and is seen at 14738 level. Mid and smallcap stocks are also under pressure.
IT stocks are seeing the most weakness. NIFTY IT INDEX has slipped below 50 DEMA. FNO is seeing a decline in all 8 IT stocks. TECH MAHINDRA has dropped the most by 4 percent. TCS, WIPRO, COFORGE have seen a weakness of 2 to 3 percent.
Metal stocks have shone even in weak markets. HIND COPPER has risen 16% since copper prices reached 9-year highs on LME. After the announcement of POLICY to give more DEVIDEND, HINDALCO is also trading on LIFE HIGH. Steel stocks are also seeing strong action.

Strategy on nifty
Virendra Kumar of CNBC-Awaaz says that its registration zone is 15084-15130 and the larger registration zone is 15184-15205. The base zone is 14907-14869 and the larger base zone is 14801-14777. Domestic data is weak but quite different from the global setup. Profit in BTST trade before 15084-15130 because 15084-15130 level is important in Nifty, if it turns out then the level of 15184-15205 will also be seen. 15084-15130 If not sold, sell.
