On the second day of the week, the market traded in a range. Midcap and smallcap stocks declined. Metal, banking and auto stocks saw selling in today’s trade. Apart from this, there was also pressure in IT and Infra indices. Nifty fell 66 points to 15,749 and Sensex fell 185 points to close at 52,550 However, today there was buying in pharma, FMCG, sugar and fertilizer stocks.

Nifty Bank closed 349 points lower at 35,010. At the same time, the midcap fell 135 points to close at 26,901. 35 out of 50 Nifty stocks declined. 18 out of 30 Sensex stocks remained under pressure. 11 out of 12 stocks of Nifty Bank declined.

This vaccine will have restricted emergency use in the country. Due to this news, Cipla’s shares touched a 52-week high of Rs 988.80 with a jump of 2.5 per cent in today’s trading. At the end of trading, these shares closed at 979.60 today with a gain of Rs 16.55 1.72 per cent on NSE.
