Apart from this, if we talk about Bharti Airtel, the number of its customers has increased by 8.1 lakhs. This information has been received from the data of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).

Jio’s total 405 million customers
According to the data, Jio has added 16.8 lakh new users, due to which the number of its mobile customers has increased to 405 million. Bharti Airtel also posted a net profit in April. The company added 8.1 lakh mobile subscribers this month. With these figures, now the number of mobile customers of Airtel has also increased to 36.11 crores. Talking about Vodafone Idea, the company lost 15.68 lakh customers during the month of April and due to which its number of subscribers came down to 259 million.

The number of broadband subscribers also increased
The TRAI data showed that overall India’s total wireless subscribers grew marginally to 1143 million at the end of April 2022. At the end of April, wireless subscriptions in urban areas fell to 624 million, while subscriptions in rural markets reached 518 million. “The monthly growth rate of urban wireless subscription was -0.07 per cent and that of rural wireless subscription was 0.20 per cent,” TRAI said. At the same time, the number of total broadband subscribers increased slightly to 78.87 million at the end of April on a monthly basis. The market share of the top 5 service providers is 98.4 percent. These service providers include Reliance Jio (411 million), Bharti Airtel (215 million), Vodafone Idea (122 million).
