According to this report, states like Gujarat, Meghalaya and Karnataka are ahead in creating a better environment for startups. Apart from this, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha and Telangana have been placed as the top performers in this list. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal released the Startup Ranking 2021 of the states on Monday. A total of 24 states and 7 union territories have participated in this. They are divided into five categories – Best Performer, Top Performer, Leaders, Aspiring Leaders and Emerging Startup Ecosystem. This ranking is based on initiatives taken to develop a startup ecosystem to promote budding entrepreneurs.
