The market for electric two-wheelers has increased in the country. Ola Electric recently launched the S1 and S1 Pro models last week. Customers now have more options when it comes to electric scooters and it may be difficult for them to choose which one will best suit their needs.
Bengaluru-based startup Simple Energy has also launched its first electric scooter with Simple One.

In electric scooters, customers should make a purchase decision after looking at the specifications like battery, technology, speed, weight, charging system. Only the models of Ather, Ola and Simple One meet the criteria of being better in these specifications. Bajaj Chetak, Okinawa Praise and a few other models lag behind.
Design first attracts the customers. Ather scooters have a modern design but Ola scooters have a better design and more color options.
The performance of electric scooters largely depends on the battery. Simple One claims to have a 4.9 kWh battery, which is the biggest in the segment. However, it is not the fastest electric scooter. The top speed of Ola’s S1 Pro is 115 kmph while the Simple One only goes up to a top speed of 105 kmph.
Ola is also planning to build a robust charging system for electric scooters. It plans to open up to one lakh charging stations in the next five years. Ather has 128 fast charging stations in 18 cities.
