US FDA approves Pfizer-BioNTech’s corona vaccine, children between 12 and 15 years will be vaccinated

The US agency United States Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) on Monday gave full approval to the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine. With this, the two-dose corona vaccine of Pfizer BioNtech has become the first vaccine to get full approval from the FDA.

The Pfizer vaccine is being used in the US as an emergency use since December 2020. This vaccine will be available to people 12 years of age and older.

According to the report, an official statement said that it can be used in emergency for people aged 12 to 15 years. At the same time, it can also be used in emergency for people with weak immunity.

Reuters said in its report that public health officials hope it will give more uneducated Americans confidence that Pfizer’s dosage is safe and effective. Indeed, vaccine hesitation among some Americans has hindered the United States’ campaign to end the corona.

Acting Commissioner of the US Food and Drug Administration, Janet Woodcock, said that millions of people have already safely got the corona vaccine. He said that we are confident that people can now instill additional confidence in vaccination once the vaccine is approved by the FDA.

He said that getting approval will also instill confidence in the people about the safety, security and effectiveness of the vaccine. Janet Woodcock said that after the FDA-approved vaccine comes on the market, people will get the vaccine with more enthusiasm.
