The dream of Neeraj Chopra, the Indian gold medalist of the Olympic Games, has been fulfilled, which he was trying to fulfill for a long time. Neeraj took his parents on a plane for the first time today and said that today a “small dream” of theirs has come true. After fulfilling this wish, Neeraj also shared it with his fans and followers on social media.
He tweeted a few pictures of his parents boarding the flight and wrote, “Today a dream of life came true when I found my parents on the flight for the first time. Will be forever grateful for everyone’s prayers and blessings. ” Chopra shared three photos with her father Satish Kumar and mother Saroj Devi while boarding the plane.
It was a “small dream” but a very sweet dream for the 23-year-old “Spear Man” of Khandara village in Haryana, which he fulfilled today. Neeraj won the historic gold medal for India in athletics at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games on 7 August.
Chopra topped the men’s javelin throw final at the Tokyo Olympic Games and won her historic gold medal, becoming India’s first Olympic medalist in athletics. He became the second Indian athlete after Abhinav Bindra to win a gold medal in an individual event.
These are not the only records in Chopra’s name. On 4 August, he became the first Indian javelin thrower to reach an Olympic Games final with an impressive throw of 86.65m in his opening attempt, which took him to the top of the qualification round. He also topped the qualifying round with a throw of 86.65m.
Chopra’s previous best was 88.06m gold medal winning throw at the 2018 Asian Games and 2018 Commonwealth Games. He was also chosen as the flag bearer of India at the opening ceremony of the 2018 Asian Games.
