Tata Motors has finally launched the new Tata Safari in India. The company has introduced the SUV at an introductory price of Rs 14.69 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Booking for the SUV began earlier this month and the company promised to start delivery soon after launch. The top variant Adventure Persona automatic variant is priced at 21.45 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Tata Harrier starts at 13.99 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) compared to the new Tata Safari and the top variant of the five-seater SUV goes up to 19.24 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The car will be offered in six different trims and a total of eleven variants, including the new Adventure Person Edition.
The car will be sold in three colors for the standard variants, including Royal Blue, Orcus White and Daytona Gray. Interested buyers can book a new safari by paying 30,000. Booking can be done through the Tata Motors dealership as well as the official online site. The company has also launched the Adventure Persona Edition of the Tata Safari SUV. The new edition will be available in tropical mist color.
Here is the list of new variants of Tata Safari SUV and the difference between them:
– The base XE variants feature dual airbags, all-disc brakes, hill hold control with electronic stability program and rollover mitigation.
– Multi drive mode and touchscreen music system starts with XM variants.
– The XT variant features iRA connectivity, fully automatic climate control and a panoramic sunroof.
– Top XZ variants get Xenon HID projector headlamps, terrier response mode, six airbags, electronic parking brake with auto hold, 8.8 “touchscreen infotainment with 9 JBL speakers and a subwoofer, powered driver seat and diamond cut 18” alloy wheels. Huh.
The company is offering a six-seater version with a captain seat, while a bench seat version can seat up to seven people. The new Safari is powered by a 2-liter diesel engine. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.
