The dispute between Maharashtra Government and Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari is getting deepened. In Maharashtra, the ruling Shiv Sena on Saturday accused state governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari of walking on the lines of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Also said that if the central government wants the constitution to be intact then it should call them back.
The Shiv Sena said that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (Maha Vikas Aghadi, MVA) government is stable and strong and cannot use the shoulder of the central governor to target the state government. The Shiv Sena said in an editorial in its mouthpiece Saamana (Saamana) that Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari is in the news again. He has been in politics for the last several years. He was a Union Minister and also the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. However, ever since he became the Governor of Maharashtra, he has always been in the news or surrounded in controversies.
Why is the governor always in controversy?
The editorial states that why he is always in controversy is a question. Recently he was in the news about the use of the state government aircraft. The governor wanted to go to Dehradun by government plane, but the government refused permission. He boarded the plane on Thursday morning but the plane was not allowed to fly, so he had to get down to Dehradun on a commercial flight.
Amit Shah said- ‘There was no promise to the Shiv Sena to share the post of Chief Minister’.
Shiv Sena said that opposition BJP is making it an issue. He asked why he sat in the aircraft when the government had not given permission to fly the plane. The editorial said that it was a personal visit to the governor and according to the law, not only the governor but also the chief minister cannot use the government aircraft for such purposes. The Chief Minister’s Office acted as per law.
Governor should follow the government’s agenda
Uddhav Thackeray (Uddhav Thackeray) -led party asked but Leader of the Opposition Devendra Fadnavis accused the state government of being arrogant. The country knows who is doing politics of arrogance. The government is not ready to withdraw the law despite the deaths of over 200 farmers during protests against three new agricultural laws on Delhi’s borders. Isn’t this ego? The Shiv Sena said that the governor should follow the agenda of the government and not the opposition.
The Shiv Sena also criticized the state cabinet’s delay in approving the recommendation of 12 names from its quota to the Legislative Council. It alleged that the governor was acting like a puppet. It said that the Governor of Maharashtra is a respected person. But he is also responsible for maintaining the reputation of the post he holds. However, he is being forced to dance to the tune of BJP. The Shiv Sena further said that if the Union Home Ministry wants the constitution, laws and rules to be retained then it should call the Governor back.
