In Bikaner Mandi, the arrival has come down by 60-70 per cent. In the last 2 weeks, the transaction has reduced by 100 crores. Due to the lockdown, business is being done in the mandis only from 8 am to 10 am.
Effect in Madhya Pradesh
Mandis in MP are completely closed due to Corona. Sporadic business is being done through deal sheets. The government allowed the business from the deal sheet. Only needy farmers are selling goods. Transactions provide 2-3 days of time through a deal sheet. About 90 percent of the business in Madhya Pradesh is completely stalled. About 1200 crore transactions have come down in 2 weeks. About 50 per cent of gram is still with the farmers in MP.
