Review: Akshay Kumar has a combination of bellbottom action as well as entertainment

The wait for the release of the new film of famous actors on the big screen has come to an end with Akshay Kumar’s Bellbottom. The film is set in the 1980s when several plane hijacking incidents took place. Akshay plays RAW analyst Anshul Malhotra in it. Other cast of the film include Lara Dutta, Vaani Kapoor, Adil Hussain, Denzil Smith and Huma Qureshi.

The story of the film is about the hijacking of a plane whose two governments try together to rescue its passengers. The hijackers are of Pakistani origin.

Pinky Karmakar, who raised the torch in London Olympics, is angry with the Assam government for ignoring them

In exchange for releasing the passengers of the plane, the hijackers demand cash and the release of the terrorists from prison. Does the Indian government accept it? It is not difficult to guess that this is not obeyed and that the passengers are finally freed.

Lara Dutta played the role of Indira Gandhi, the Prime Minister of the country in the film. She decides to trust RAW analysts, ignoring her ministers’ insistence on negotiating with the kidnappers.

The story of the film moves fast and it becomes a bit unwieldy only when there is a meeting of ministers or when people gherao the ministers after kidnapping.

Its final action scene is reminiscent of the famous Hollywood film Mission Impossible.

The film has been successful to a great extent in keeping the audience engaged and entertainment has been taken care of along with action.

Bellbottom has been released in the country and abroad except in cities with restrictions due to Corona. Viewers who like through OTT will be able to watch it on Amazon.
