Renault (Renault) has launched its compact SUV Kiger. This is the fourth and third global car in Reno’s portfolio. It has been specially designed keeping in mind the Indian buyers. The company has priced it at Rs 5.45-9.55 lakh.
It has a 1 liter turbo petrol engine along with a 1 liter normal petrol engine. The turbo generates 100bhp power while the normal engine generates 72bhp power. The mileage of the turbo is 20 km while the mileage of the normal engine is 18 km. The AMT and CVT gear along with 5 speed manual gear have been given in Kaigar. Being a compact SUV, it has 205mm ground clearance, 405 liters of boot space and 29 liters of storage space in the interior.
Wireless smartphone replication inside the Kiger, wireless smartphone charger, PM 2.5 clean air filter, 20.32 cm floating touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 7 inch digital instrument cluster, floating rooftop, ARKAMYS 3D sound system, steering Features like mounted controls, engine start / stop button i.e. keyless access, voice recognition, cruise control are given.

It has been developed jointly by the corporate design team of France and India. Renault Kiger is the third global car of the group Renault, which was first launched in India. The company is producing Renault Kyrag at its manufacturing plant in Chennai.
Renault Kiger competes against Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, KIA Sonnet and Maruti Brezza. Nissan Magnite is priced at Rs 5.49-9.59 lakh, Tata Nexon is priced at Rs 7.09-12.79 lakh, Maruti Brezza is priced at Rs 7.39-11.40 lakh, Hyundai Venue is priced at Rs 6.86-11.66 lakh and KIA Sonnet is priced at Rs 6.70-13.19 lakh.
