The quad-camera setup has been given in the Redmi K40 smartphone. It has a primary sensor 48-megapixel and a 20-megapixel camera for selfie.
Redmi K40 Series
Xiaomi launched the Redmi K40 series in China on 25 February. The company has launched three phones under the Redmi K40 series, including Redmi K40, Redmi K40 Pro and Redmi K40 Pro +. However, now a report has revealed that Xiaomi Redmi K40 can be launched as a Poco phone at the global level. Recently the model number of the device was seen with Poco branding.
According to a listing spotted by Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) on 91Mobiles, it was indicated that the phone with the model number M2012K11AG would be launched as a Poco phone. This model number is associated with Redmi K40. The report said that outside China, the smartphone will not be launched as a Redmi K40, but as a Poco phone. Xiaomi has not yet made any announcement regarding the global launch date of Redmi K40.
With this, the phone with model number M2012K11AG will come with 5G support. This is not the first time Xiaomi has rebranded its phone. The popular Poco M2 Pro is also rebranded to the Redmi Now 9 Pro.
Specifications of Redmi K40
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Redmi K40 has a 6.67-inch full-HD + feature with 1080 × 2–400 pixel resolution. It also comes with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Talking about the camera, a quad-camera setup has been given in the Redmi K40. It includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel secondary sensor, an ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 5-megapixel macro sensor. A 20-megapixel sensor will be available for the selfie.
For connectivity, the Redmi K40 includes support for 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS / A-GPS, NFC, Infrared (IR) and a USB Type-C port. The smartphone has a 4,520mAh battery that comes with support for 33W fast charging.
Redmi K40 Price
The Redmi K40 was launched in China for CNY 1,999 (about Rs 22,400) for the 6GB + 128GB model. For the 8GB + 128GB variant, the smartphone is priced at CNY 2,199 (about Rs. 24,700) and for the 8GB + 256GB variant, the phone is priced at CNY 2,499 (about Rs. 28,000). The top 12GB + 256GB version of the model is priced at CNY 2,699 (about Rs 30,000).
