Google has finally added privacy labels to the Gmail app for the Apple App Store although Google took too long to add labels to its core apps. After YouTube, Gmail has now become the second most important Google app to have a privacy label.
Apparently, some of Google’s popular apps like Gmail, Google Search, Photos, Docs and YouTube are used extensively by iPhone users. The privacy label on the Gmail app shows that the app collects contact details, user content and other information from users. The Gmail app also collects your location data for analytics. Talking about adding labels to their apps, Google said that labels will be added to the app when it is updated.
