The country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday that he had a phone conversation with the newly elected President of America, Joe Biden, and wished him a hearty victory. PM Modi said that we discussed regional issues and shared priorities. We also agreed to further our cooperation against climate change.
PM Modi further said in the tweet that President Joe Biden and I are committed to a rules-based international order. We look forward to strengthening our strategic partnership for the peace and security of the Indo-Pacific region. Let us tell you that this is the first time after Biden became the President, a conversation took place between PM Modi and him.

Joe Biden won the election last year against former US President Donald Trump. Biden formally took over in January. There were also riots in the US before Biden took office.
PM Modi congratulated President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris after their swearing in in January. PM Modi had said, I am committed to working with President Joe Biden to take Indo-US relations to a new height. He said that we stand together to face common challenges.
