People are horrified as cases of corona infection rise again in Maharashtra. The reason for the re-emergence of Corona infection is being told about the negligence of the people, allowing the general public to travel in local trains and opening of other commercial activities. The political and social programs in the state are being canceled as the government and administration take strict steps to stop the second wave of Corona.

There has been a rapid increase in cases of coronavirus infection in parts of Maharashtra including Mumbai. Mumbai has seen a 36.38 percent increase in the number of under-treated patients since February 8. According to BMC data, 5,335 patients of Kovid-19 were undergoing treatment in Mumbai on February 8 and the number rose to 7,276 on Sunday. The average rate of increase in infection cases was the lowest (0.12 per cent) on February 8 and the rate of doubling of infection cases was the highest (574 days). The growth rate of infection cases in Mumbai is 0.20 per cent and cases are doubling in 346 days. There is an increase in daily reported cases but the death toll due to epidemics is low.

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar said that he has canceled all his earlier public programs in view of the increase in cases of Kovid-19 in Maharashtra. NCP MP Supriya Sule also canceled all her scheduled programs between 22 February and 7 March. Maharashtra’s Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant has also canceled his public program scheduled on Monday. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said on Sunday that in view of the increasing cases of Kovid-19, the gathering of people in religious, social and political events in the state will be stopped from Monday.

State Health Minister Rajesh Tope also came under the grip of Corona. Cabinet minister Chhagan Bhujbal has also been infected with Corona. At the moment their position remains stable. From the hospital itself, Tope has written a sentimental letter to the people of Maharashtra. They have appealed to the people of Maharashtra to join the battle of Corona and obey the rules of lockdown. For the past year, we all have been fighting a battle against Corona. The Corona warriors, especially the doctors, nurses, health workers, police, sweepers, who fought regardless of the government’s strict steps, the right guidance, honest efforts and life, helped us control the corona. The corona is not completely finished yet. He is again raising his head. We have to fight this battle once again. I am currently in the hospital. This virus has been following me since last year. But it was not possible for me to come to him. He has finally caught me. With the love, familiarity and blessings of all of you, I will come to fight this battle with you soon after defeating this virus. I appeal to you to please wear a mask, follow social distance, only then this crisis will be averted. After all, care for oneself, care for oneself, care for oneself means society. So let’s beat Corona.

The BMC and police are also taking strict action against those who disobey the administration’s appeal and do not follow the government guidelines. Nearly two thousand housing societies have been sealed in Mumbai and surrounding areas, action has been taken on many hotels, bars, restaurants and wedding ceremony establishments. Suresh Kakani, Additional Municipal Commissioner of BMC, said that as restrictions were relaxed, malls, restaurants, pubs, clubs and wedding events and other ceremonies started to get crowded, leading to increased infection cases. Many people are behaving as if there is no danger of Kovid-19. He is not following the rules in public places. In such a situation, the administration has to take action.

14,199 new cases of Kovid-19 in the country

In the last 24 hours, 14,199 new cases of Kovid-19 in the country have increased the total number of infected to more than 11 million. At the same time, the number of under-treated patients increased for the fifth consecutive day. This information was given in the updated data of the Ministry of Health on Monday. At the same time, the death toll of Corona virus epidemic in America has reached close to half a million.
