Fastag has been made mandatory for all vehicles across the country from 15 February. If you pass through the national highway, then without the fast tag, you will have to pay double the toll.

Paytm Payment Bank has won 82 percent of disputed cases for Fastag users with toll plazas last year. The bank said on Tuesday that there are cases of excess funds being deducted from Fastag users at the toll plaza. In such cases it has helped 2.6 lakh customers get their refund back.
Paytm Payment Bank said that it has started an automated dispute management process. Under this, if an amount is deducted more than the fastag on the toll plaza, an immediate claim is made for its return. Satish Gupta, managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) of Paytm Payments Bank said in a statement, “Our effort is to provide seamless travel on the road to our users. Under this, we help our users in every possible way. This also includes redressal of complaints on toll plazas.

Essentials of minimum balance were abolished
You can buy FASTag from PayTM, Amazon, Google Pay, Snapdeal etc. 25 banks of the country are also providing this. While giving relief to the drivers, NHAI has also ended the requirement of minimum balance in Fastag account. This allows the driver to cross the toll plaza in Fastag wallet without any minimum balance. This will provide a lot of convenience to the drivers and there will be no queue of vehicles at the toll plaza. At present, this facility has been given to vehicle cars, jeeps, vans only.
Money will be deducted from security money
NHAI says that if a user’s account is not negative, even if it does not have minimum balance, it can still go through the toll plaza. If there is no money left in his account after passing through the toll, then the bank can deduct money from security money. In such a situation, the user will have to maintain the security money at the time of recharge.
