Mobile Plans: According to a report, the mobile fee plans of telecom operators are likely to continue with minor changes for the time being. According to a senior analyst at Deloitte India, due to the priority of boosting market share amid challenges, companies may avoid massive tariff hikes in the short term.
Deloitte India partner and telecom giant Piyush Vaish told PTI that the telecom sector has room for growth despite the current challenges. Especially in areas like broadband and 5G.
GST will not be levied on the charges collected from the employees for the canteen facility
He said that till now the operator companies were offering such plans which were common for all. In the last 6-8 months, however, companies have started identifying premium customers. We are looking at how to keep users in these categories, so that they pay more for additional features or services.
Vaish said that there may be some minor changes in the overall fee plan, but companies will avoid excessive increase in charges.

“I don’t think there will be any significant increase in the charges for the short term mobile plan,” he said. There may be minor improvements, some companies may drop their minimum final plan… but I don’t think it will make a significant difference in the Average Revenue Per Customer (ARPU) of the operators.
Instead, the telecom operators would prefer to focus on increasing the subscriber base to increase their market share, Piyush Vaish said.
