Pressure increased on PSUs to meet capacity expansion target
Government companies are now under increased pressure to meet the capacity expansion target. The Prime Minister’s Office has asked for a monthly report on the performance of government companies on CAPEX. Giving more details, CNBC-Awaaz’s Economic Policy Editor Laxman Roy said that the PSUs have been directed to expand capacity as per the target. The Prime Minister’s Office has sought a monthly report from the companies on this.
NLC has topped in capacity expansion, achieving around 38% target. NTPC at number two has completed about 34% target. Oil India, RINL are also ahead in capacity expansion. At the same time, many companies including MTNL, Mazagon Dock are behind.
ACE gets big defense order
Country’s largest construction equipment manufacturing company ACE has received a big order from Tata Advance Systems, DRDO.
