In the country today i.e. from June 21, every citizen above the age of 18 years will get the corona vaccine for free. The central government has started a program to provide free COVID-19 vaccine to all citizens above the age of 18 years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address to the nation on June 7, made a big announcement regarding free vaccine to all.
For vaccination, it is no longer mandatory to register by visiting the vaccine-related website CoWIN. That is, in addition to registration on the Kovin portal, the facility of onsite registration will be available at all government and private vaccination centers. You can get the vaccine by registering directly at any vaccine center.
The Union Health Ministry has given the facility to every person above the age of 18 years to register for Covid vaccination with online registration on Co-WIN, offline i.e. by visiting the vaccination center. The Health Ministry said that it is not mandatory to register online for the Covid vaccination. According to the government, any person who is 18 years of age or above can directly go to the nearest vaccination center and register and get the vaccine.
The ministry clarified that it is not necessary to register online in advance for vaccination and take time in advance to get the vaccine. According to the Ministry of Health, there are many ways to register on Kovin, one of which is through Common Service Centers (CSCs). He said that the facility of assistance in registration is also being provided through 1,075 helplines.
Important information about the vaccine
All citizens above 18 years of age can avail free vaccination by visiting any government center.
The Center will buy 75 per cent of the total vaccine production from vaccine manufacturers and give it to the state governments free of cost. No state government will have to spend anything on the vaccine.
All vaccination centers, government and private, will provide onsite online facilities. Registration on the Co-Win app is not mandatory.
States can avail the facilities of Common Service Center and Call Center to help citizens book slots for vaccination.
– The cost of the COVID-19 vaccine dose for private hospitals will be announced by each vaccine manufacturer and any changes will be notified in advance.
