According to the Financial Times Global MBA Ranking 2021, four Indian Institutes of Management (IIM), including five Indian Business Schools (Indian B-School) are also named among the top 100 business schools in the world. As per the rankings released on Monday, the Indian School of Business (ISB) is ranked 23rd, while IIM Bengaluru is ranked 35th. IIM Kolkata and Ahmedabad were ranked 44th and 48th and IIM Indore 94th respectively.
According to the Mint report, the name of IIM Indore has been included in this list of World Top 100 B-Schools for the first time. ISB climbed four places and IIM Ahmedabad moved up 13 places this time. However, IIM Kolkata fell two and IIM Bangalore fell eight places.
The quality of the MBA and Executive, Management Education Candidate and all high-rated businesses are considered a parameter for FT rankings. Three years after graduating in the FT Global Ranking, all data including student salaries, research published in journals, overall student satisfaction and all other factors use diversity of students and teachers.
The FT said in its website that this year INSEAD based in France and Singapore has been topped the list. This is followed by London Business School (UK) and Chicago Booth School of Business (US). Last year, many US schools, including Harvard, Stanford and Wharton, declined to participate this year, due to several problems with data collection due to the epidemic.
IIM Calcutta said that it has done well in categories like career progression, female student percentage and inclusion of more and more international faculty. IIM’s one-year MBA program was part of this ranking assessment.
Director of IIM Indore Himanshu Rai said that he has made it to the FT-100 list due to the one-year fulltime PG program and has done well on parameters including corporate social responsibility, research and students overall satisfaction. He said that now our next goal is to further improve our international ranking. The ISB, which was ranked number one in India and third in Asia, said that it has been progressing in salary and career service rank year after year.
