Feb Auto Sales: Maruti sales up 11%, Bajaj Auto sold 3.75 lakh vehicles, Escorts also sold silver

Today, their February sales figures have started coming from the auto companies. Maruti, Bajaj Auto and Escorts have presented their sales figures.

Maruti

Maruti’s total sales in the month of February grew by 11.8 per cent to 1.64 lakh units as compared to 1.47 vehicles sold in February last year.

In February, the company’s exports grew by 11.9 percent to 11,486 units as compared to 10,261 units in February last year.

The company’s domestic sales in February grew by 11.8 percent to 1.52 units from 1.36 lakh units in February last year. The company’s passenger car sales grew by 6.1 percent to 1.05 lakh units in February from 99.871 lakh units in February last year.

On a month-on-month basis, the company has seen a 2.5 percent increase in total sales. Let us know that in January the company had sold 1.60 lakh vehicles while in February the company has sold 1.64 lakh vehicles.

Bajaj Auto

Bajaj Auto’s total sales in February increased 6 percent year-on-year to 3.75 lakh units compared to 3.54 units sold in February last year.

There has been a decline in domestic sales in February. It has fallen by 2 per cent to 1.64 lakh units. Whereas in February last year, the company sold 1.68 lakh vehicles. The company saw a good growth in exports in February. During the period, the company’s exports grew by 13 per cent to 2.10 lakh units as against 1.86 lakh units in January last year.

3-wheeler sales have shown weakness in February and have fallen by 5 per cent to 42,454 units as compared to 44,691 units sold in February last year. In the second quarter, the company’s two-wheeler sales grew by 7 percent and reached 3.32 lakh units. In February last year, the company sold 3.10 lakh units.

On a month-on-month basis, the company’s total sales have seen a decline of 11.8 per cent and have come down from 4.05 lakh units in January to 3.75 units in February.

Escorts

Total sales of escorts in February grew by a strong 30.6 per cent year-on-year to 11,230 units as compared to 8,601 units in February last year. However, in February, the company’s exports fell by 2.2 per cent year-on-year and this was down to 540 units from 552 units in February last year.
