According to local media, while attending the first meeting of foreign ministers of neighboring countries on Afghanistan, Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that China would provide Afghanistan 200 million yuan (31 million USD) worth of food grains, winter supplies, vaccines and their needs. Will provide medicines accordingly.

The foreign ministers of Iran, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan also participated in this meeting called by Pakistan, all of which are neighboring countries of Afghanistan. Russia was not in the meeting organized by Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

Wang said that China has decided to donate 3 million doses of the vaccine to Afghan people in the first batch. China is also ready to provide more anti-epidemic and emergency goods to Afghanistan under the emergency supply storage of China-South Asian countries.

Wang said China would work closely with countries in the region to help Afghanistan rebuild its economy and society, as well as fight terrorist groups and the illegal drug trade.
