Recently, Airtel recently demonstrated 5G service on a live commercial network in Hyderabad. After which Airtel has become the first telecom company in India to do so. After the Hyderabad event, the company claimed that it has become the first such telecom company in the country that is bringing 5G service to the country for the first time.
What is the preparation
According to an Airtel statement, the company will use Qualcomm’s 5G RAN platform to introduce Airtel virtualized and open RAN-based 5G networks through its network vendors and device partners. Being a member of the board of directors of the Airtel O-Ran alliance, it is committed to making it successful. The company is working closely with Qualcomm to implement O-RAN in India.
Fast internet will be available at home
