After Uttar Pradesh’s national Lucknow, the Gautam Budh Nagar Administration has now announced a night curfew in Noida and Greater Noida till 17 April. This decision has been taken in view of the increasing cases of Corona. Like the Delhi in the district, the night curfew will remain in force from 10 am to 5 am.
In this regard, District Magistrate Suhas LY met with Health and District Administration officials on Thursday afternoon and decided to impose night curfew. According to the order issued by the administration, noida curfew will remain in Noida-Greater Noida from 10 am to 5 am. Gautam Buddha Nagar DM Suhas LY has issued a press note directing the night curfew.
According to the directive, movement for essential goods, medical services will continue during the night curfew. Also, all government and private educational institutions will remain closed. Apart from this, coaching has also not been exempted. In Noida-Greater Noida, a night curfew has been imposed on the lines of Delhi itself. This night curfew will remain in effect till the morning of 17 April.
Apart from this, District Magistrate Ajay Shankar Pandey has imposed night curfew till April 17 in connection with Covid-19 infection in Ghaziabad district adjacent to Noida. Under this, the night curfew will be effective from 10 am to 5 am in Ghaziabad. Along with this, there are orders to close all educational institutions, schools, colleges, coaching centers in the district by April 17.
Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to impose night curfew in Lucknow, Kanpur and Varanasi from Thursday. The curfew will be implemented from 8 April and will remain in effect till 16 April. The curfew will continue from 10 in the night to 6 in the morning. According to an order issued by Lucknow District Magistrate Abhishek Prakash, the night curfew will be applicable only in the Lucknow Municipal Corporation area and not in the rural area.
According to the order, supply of fruits, vegetables, milk, LPG, petrol-diesel and medicine will continue. Government and private employees doing night duty and private sector personnel engaged in services of essential commodities will be exempted during this period. He further said that this ban will not be applicable to medical, nursing and para medical institutions.
