After Kabul, now 9 killed, dozens injured in horrific explosion in Kazakhstan

After the serial bomb blast at Kabul airport, now there has been a big blast on the military base of Kazakhstan. Nine people have been killed in a series of explosions in the southern Kazakhstan city of Taraz.

According to the report, there has been a powerful explosion at the military base in Taraz. According to news agency AFP, nine people have died in the blast and several people are injured in the incident.

Kazakhstan’s Defense Ministry has said that the explosion was caused by a fire from a warehouse of a military unit. According to Russian media RT, a total of 28 people were injured in the powerful explosions, who are now being treated in hospital.

The explosion began on Thursday at the Defense Ministry’s ammunition warehouse in Taraz, forcing officials to evacuate nearby villages. Kazakhstan’s President Kasim-Jomart Tokayev said at least 30 of the wounded were military soldiers. He said that the incident is being investigated.

Earlier, at least 90 people were killed and more than 150 people were injured in serial bomb blasts on Thursday evening at the international airport of Kabul, capital of war-torn Afghanistan. 13 American soldiers have also been killed in this attack. The rest of the people killed in the blasts are believed to be Afghan nationals.

The dreaded terrorist organization Islamic State Khorasan (ISIS-K) group has claimed responsibility for the attack on Kabul airport. ISIS-K has said it was a suicide attack. Countries around the world including India have condemned the attack.
