The brand value of players who have won medals at the Tokyo Olympics 2021 has increased significantly. Several brands are lined up to sign India’s star female weightlifter Mirabai Chanu, who won the silver medal on the second day of the Tokyo Olympic Games. Chanu opened India’s account by winning the silver medal in the 49 kg weightlifting event. Chanu’s silver medal has made her a favorite of brands.
German sportswear company Adidas has tied up with Mirabai Chanu. Adidas has signed Olympic medalist Mirabai Chanu for its new product Techfit Period-Proof Tights.
The new offering, launched on August 25, features an absorbent layer to help protect against leaks when worn with a tampon or pad, the company said in a statement. The company said it found teenage girls shying away from the game, one of the main reasons being the fear of leaking periods.
