In the 1984 Lok Sabha elections, BJP got 2 seats and got 7.74 percent votes. After this, in 1989 BJP got 11.36 percent votes with 85 seats. At the same time, in 1991 BJP got 20.11 percent votes with 120 seats. Whereas in 1996 BJP got 20.29 percent votes with 161 seats. In 1998, BJP received 25.59 percent of the vote with 182 seats. Then in 1999, 182 seats got 23.75 percent of the vote. Whereas in 2014 BJP got 31.34 percent votes with 282 seats. Then in 2019, BJP got 37.76 percent of the vote with 303 seats.
