The Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), the regulator of the Indian mutual fund sector, fixes the category of shares listed in the domestic market every six months. In this, stocks are kept in large cap, mid cap and small cap. In this episode, AMFI has included the recently listed LIC and Adani Wilmar in the largecap. After coming to the large cap, today the shares of these two have strengthened even in the weak market sentiment.
However, it is not necessary that the stock should be strong after joining the large cap as Cholamandalam Investment & Finance and HAL have weakened today even after joining the large cap. However, active equity fund managers prepare their portfolio according to the stock category of the AMFI. Here below are the details about the performance of the first day of the stocks included in the new category.
