Mamta Banerjee’s allegation, central government not giving money to farmers of Bengal.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday alleged that despite the Trinamool Congress government sending a verified list of farmers to the Center, the BJP-led government gave Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme (PM Kisan) to farmers in the state Samman Nidhi Scheme). He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is making false claims that the West Bengal government is not giving money to the farmers.
Banerjee said that the Trinamool Congress government is giving five thousand rupees to each farmer and has also arranged for free crop insurance. The Chief Minister had said in the Assembly on Monday that out of six lakh applications sent for verification by the Central Government, the State Government had sent a list of the names of two and a half lakh farmers. Addressing a public meeting in Kalna in the former Vardhaman district, the TMC president said that agitating farmers outside Delhi are facing atrocities.
Accusing the saffron party of spreading lies about Hindutva, Banerjee said that her party does not divide on the basis of religion. He said that BJP has turned the country into a crematorium, but we will not allow it to happen in Bengal. Banerjee said that TMC would win for the third consecutive time in the assembly elections. Humayun Kabir, an IPS officer who resigned from the job a few days ago, joined the Trinamool Congress in the presence of Banerjee at the rally.
Explain that the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme is an ambitious scheme of the Central Government, but it has not been implemented in West Bengal so far. This plan has become the reason for mutual debate between BJP and TMC at the time of assembly elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP say that due to the personal decision of Mamta Banerjee, the farmers of West Bengal are not getting the benefit of this scheme. At the same time, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has now agreed to implement this scheme after earlier objections. However, Mamta alleges that despite this, till now the farmers of Bengal have not received the money of the scheme.
