Now, the government has started implementing rules to make payments like PF, pension, and advance of employees as soon as possible. Most of the PF-related payments are now online and within 3 to 7 days. In the event of corona and other fatal diseases, the facility of paying up to Rs 1 lakh on the same day of hospitalization has been started. In how many days does PF money come?
Medical emergency advance is available in 1 day: If you are in the grip of Corona (Covid-19) or any other deadly disease, you have to be hospitalized, then you can get a medical emergency advance of up to Rs 1 lakh within 1 hour or a day. For this, you do not even need to submit any kind of bill, estimate, or document.
What do I have to do for Medical Advance?: To get this advance, the employee must be admitted to a government (government/PSU/CGHS) or private hospital. After that, an application for an emergency medical advance can be made on behalf of that employee himself or any member of his family.
No need to provide the cost of treatment or estimate: In the application form, employee details and hospital details have to be given. There is no need to provide the cost of treatment or estimate. This Emergency Medical Advance, on your application, will be sent directly to the employee’s bank account or his family member’s bank account, or the hospital’s account.
The medical advance should be received on the same working day: According to the instructions issued by the EPFO, that advance should be sent on the same working day. If for some reason the advance is not issued on that day, then the money must be remitted on the next working day.
Can more than 1 lakh also get medical advance: If the cost of treatment is more than Rs 1 lakh, then additional advance can also be available, but this can be done only if it is possible under EPFO withdrawal rules. For that additional advance, you will also have to provide an estimate of the cost of the treatment. And, this additional medical advance should be applied for before the patient is discharged.
Can everyone get a medical emergency advance up to Rs 1 lakh? No, there is a maximum limit of up to Rs 1 lakh, but its limit depends on the amount of your salary.
- This is the maximum you can get, which becomes the total of your basic salary + Dearness Allowance (DA) for 6 months.
- Or it can be received as much as the employee’s share has been deducted (including interest) in the PF account of the employee.

If there is a problem with the claim, then complain
In case of delay in settlement of any claim or any other issue, you can complain through the EPF Grievance Portal. Its link is- https://epfigms.gov.in/Grievance/GrievanceMaster. In this, you get the following options on the first and second numbers-
- PF Member: If your complaint is related to EPF then select the PF member option. After this, you can register a complaint with the help of your UAN number. As per EPFO rules, it should be resolved within the next 7 working days. Whether or not the reason will be given.
- EPS Board: If your complaint is regarding EPF Pension EPS Board then the select option R. After that your PPO number with the help you can complete the complaint process
Can wait up to 20 days
In cases where there were applications for withdrawal of PF without any specific reason, before retirement, during the job, it was taking more time. Those whose money could not reach within the stipulated time complained about the EPF grievance portal. In response, the EPFO was asked to wait for 20 days.

Before starting the PF claim process, you must keep the following points in mind.
Aadhar linking with EPF account is mandatory
EPFO has now made it mandatory to link Aadhaar with the PF account of every employee. Companies will not be able to deposit money in the PF account of employees whose Aadhaar will not be linked to PF / UAN. There can also be problems in withdrawing PF or withdrawing advance. Their claim can also be stopped. If you do not have an Aadhar link, you will not get insurance-related benefits.

10 years job is necessary to get a monthly pension
To get the monthly pension from EPFO, you must complete at least 10 years of service. These 10 years are counted inclusive of all previous jobs. Apart from this, you must have completed 58 years of age.
Pension is deposited back if there are less than 10 years of job
If you have not completed 10 years of service then again, you will not get a monthly pension. However, you can withdraw the amount deposited in your pension account. This is called a pension benefit.
Keep These Things In Mind
- Give your UAN number immediately after leaving one company and starting a job in another company. Fill and submit the declaration related to the PF account of the previous job.
- The tenure of all your jobs is added to calculate the service period. Therefore it would be better to link all your EPF accounts with your UAN number.
- Enter the name of the nominee in your EPF account in the new company as soon as possible. You can also do this work online with the help of a UAN number. The nominee is entitled to get money only in case of an employee’s death.
