Chhattisgarh government will give Rs 6,000 annually to 12 lakh landless laborers, know full details of the scheme

Chhattisgarh government has started “Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumihin Majdur Nyay Yojana” with a provision of Rs 200 crore to benefit 12 lakh landless families. The scheme was announced in the state legislature on July 28 by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. This amount has been included in the supplementary budget for the financial year 2021-2022.

The objective of the scheme is to support rural landless laborers with minimum wages, so that they can access basic facilities. The beneficiaries are expected to get the benefits of the scheme before the end of this financial year on March 31, 2022.

An amount of Rs 6,000 will be ensured annually to the families of the beneficiaries. The state government said that there is also a system in place to resolve any discrepancy related to the beneficiary’s bank account within 15 days.

Baghel said, “We have launched a scheme which is the first of its kind focused on providing economic justice to the rural landless laborers of Chhattisgarh. More than 12 lakh families will be benefitted by this scheme. We will provide true justice and justice to them. Hope to be able to ensure true independence.”

According to the state government, the “Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Bhoomi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana” will provide financial support to the families of more than 12 lakh landless laborers who are facing financial crisis, who do not have even a small piece of land, yet They depend on agricultural laborers for their income.

The scheme focuses on covering MGNREGA and contract workers, but will also provide assistance to beneficiaries such as barbers, blacksmiths, washermen and priests across Chhattisgarh.

The beneficiaries of Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Bhoomi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana can register themselves on the dedicated portal from September 1 this year to November 30 this year.
