The Modi government has been running a special campaign since February 2020 to provide cheaper loans to the country’s farmers. He said that during the last one year more than 187 lakh farmers across the country have been approved for Kisan Credit Card. Whose total credit limit is 1.76 lakh crores.
In order to make farming work easier and to provide timely loan facility to all eligible farmers, the government has provided the facility of Kisan Credit Card to the farmers. Farmers can easily avail loans for purchasing seeds, fertilizers and pesticides etc. through the Kisan Credit Card. Explain that from the year 2012, the Kisan Credit Card Scheme has been simplified.
What is a Kisan Credit Card?
Loans are provided to farmers at a cheaper rate through Kisan Credit Card. Through this, farmers get an opportunity to repay the loan at an interest rate of up to 4 per cent. However, the government has put some conditions for this. Through this card, farmers get a loan of 1 lakh 60 thousand rupees without security. At the same time, on payment of the loan on time, the loan amount can be increased from 3 to 5 lakh rupees. These cards are being provided to farmers only under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

To get a Kisan Credit Card, you have to visit the official website of PM Kisan Yojana https://pmkisan.gov.in/. In this website, the option of download KKC Form will appear on the right side of the Farmer Tab. Through this, farmers can download the form to get a credit card. After printing the form, the information sought in it will have to be filled. After this, the farmer can fill and submit this form at the commercial bank near him. In this form, you will have to attach a photo copy of the documents attached to the ground. It is also required to provide in the form that you are not making a Kisan Credit Card from any other bank. The bank will inform the farmer after the card is created. Then it will be sent to its address.
