A special CBI court in Mumbai on Saturday refused bail to Yes Bank founder Rana Kapoor’s wife and two daughters in a DHFL case and sent them to 14-day judicial custody. The CBI, which is probing the case, has named Rana Kapoor’s wife Bindu Kapoor and two daughters – Radha Khanna and Roshni as accused in its supplementary chargesheet.
Taking cognizance of the chargesheet, the special CBI court had ordered the trio to appear in the court on Saturday. Bindu Kapoor and her two daughters applied for bail through lawyers after appearing in the court. Their lawyers argued that the CBI had filed the charge sheet without arresting Bindu, Radha and Roshni and that they were entitled to bail as per the Supreme Court’s decision.
